The lymphatic system is connected to and dependent on the blood circulatory system, however, the two systems are distinctly different. We will be working with the lymphatic system and the relationship of it to the other systems of the body.
This class will be taught in a four POD structure. Each pod builds on to the next pod. It will be necessary to have pods one, two and three to take the fourth pod.

POD 1 - INTRO TO LDM
In the first week the discussion will be:
Definition of Lymphatic drainage.
How is it done?
What is the body’s response?
What are the differences between lymphatic drainage and other massage techniques?
Application of techniques:  when and why it is applied.

• Intro To The Type Of Touch

• Edema Introduction

POD 2 - FULL BODY TECHNIQUE AND WELL-CARE
In the second week you will be learning the Full body technique and Well-care covering the following areas:

• Boundaries
• Circulatory
• Endocrine
• Muscular
• Glands
• Natures Cast
• The Immune System
• The Army For The Defense Of Our Body
• Water
• Abdominal Work
• Practical
• Full Body Stroke Sequence

POD 3 - CLINICAL APPLICATION
In week three we will focus on Clinical applications of Lymphatic Drainage, the study will consist of:

• Client Intake
• Client Education
• Client Self Care
• Dialogue
• Pathology Of Lymphatic System
• Edema
• Introduce Compression Wrapping

POD 4 - LYMPHEDEMA TREATMENT AND DECONGESTIVE THERAPY
In the fourth week the focus will be on the treatment of Lymphedema and Decongestive therapy using compression wrapping as well as the following:
• Review
• Pathology Continued
• Uses Of Compression
• Wrapping
• Garments
• Pumps
• Treatment And Wrapping Protocol
• How To Order Wrapping Supplies
• Kinesiotaping Introduction
• Business
• Insurance
